There are protests going on in a town called Ferguson in Missouri. There are protests that have been going on for several days. There are protests in response to an unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown, being shot by a Ferguson police officer.
Brown's body was left in the street for four hours before the coroner came to retrieve it. An autopsy report shows how many times the teen was shot. We do not know how many times. The officer's name is also being withheld.
Reporters were being stopped from reporting on the goings-on. Protestors have been gassed and arrested. Police have been using riot tactics, including using gas canisters and pointing rifles directly at the crowd.
This the latest example of what's been going on for the past several years, most recently ramped-up during the Occupy movement a few years ago.
There are clear racial undertones to the murder of Michael Brown, but the still-unfolding events in Ferguson, MO, are the latest example of the establishment of the United Police State of America.
